Our leases are up on 5/1 and 5/2. We decided to stick with the paid of f Tundra and Fit, and to be payment free until this winter. I washed both of them, took photos , I washed the T undra, I washed the garage floors... we had a plumber come in this morning and he installed a hot and cold water hose bib in the garage....
BEST.FRICKEN.THING.EVER! Washing cars with hot water is the best thing since sliced bread.
Instead of returning them, I’ll see if I can sell them and maybe make a few bucks as they sell for more than the residual. This might be the last time I have a photo of all three of them together.
As always, Oppo discount applies ;). I listed them at $21800, they have 25253 and 26730 miles which makes them some of the lowest mileage 2017 WRXs in Colorado.

Pretty good deal - low miles too!

The large window on the second story is giving me OCD. Plus like three different sidings styles up there.
*screams internally*
Nice private residence :)

This is very tempting... I’ve been wanting a wrx, and I’ve already been planning to buy later this year. I’m looking at the cost of flights to Colorado and taking a look at my finances. If it’s still available in a couple days, I might just send you an email (CL add is bookmarked).

I’m interested, but I’m not sure the timing is quite right. If this were a month or two later, I think we’d b e making a deal on a fun driving to work car to pair with the Pajero and to replace the F-150.

I have until 5/1 on the white one and 5/2 on the silver one. So, plenty of time if it doesn’t sell locally.

Large window makes it easy to come out on the roof :). I hate siding period, I’d much rather have stucco or thin brick, but... this is the joy of pre planned commercial builders homes where you can’t modify things.

If you’ve still got one in a month or so, we may talk.

Let me know - if you’re serious I’d take it off the market. I’d much rather see it on oppo than selling it on Facebook marketplace (yuck).
Where are you located? I have so much time off, I could also make it a road trip and potentially deliver.

I’m in San Diego. Just wondering, how would a lease sale work?

No difference between a lease sale than any other lien sale. Car is financed though Subaru/Chase. I’d meet the buyer at a Chase branch. I’d take the amount needed to pay it off and give it to Chase right away, and that starts the payoff and sending the title.
I “think” they would still send the title to me, so you’d have to work with a Bill of Sale and then I’d send the title your way once it arrives - I think I’d have to sign it anyway as technically, I’m the one paying it off.
Worst case scenario, I could pay it off as well on my own out of my savings account, but that would be my last resort.

Call the lien holder to figure out payoff amount. I believe seller would be responsible for making sure all necessary payments go to the lease company as they would be on the hook if things go wrong. Then I would specify your situation with the lease company and ask exactly what they need, besides the money, to transfer full ownership.
Depending on contracts and companies I’ve heard lease companies refuse to outright sell the car to the next person. So just keep it in mind. Good luck!

The way they built the foundation, one of my water spigots is (if you’re looking at the house from where I took the photo) on the far right behind the fence, through the dog area, then behind another fence. Other is on the left, closer than the other one, and a bit more useful since I removed a fence panel and made it into a gate, but I’d still need 30-40ft of hose just to make it to the driveway.
So, we added a hot and cold water bib on the wall in front of the Tundra. There is a section of the wall with the breakers that sticks out, and I had the spigot installed next to it so it doesn’t stick much. I bought a wall hanging hose mount and installed it next to it - I might have to look for a larger one as this hose is too thick and long to fit well.
The plumber just went in the unfinished basement and we had the hot and cold pex lines right there. With the hose bib and materials and labor, it was $350. Seems steep for $35 minutes of work... I sort of wish I did it on my own, it would have made me learn to work with pex.
We also had our concrete guys seal the garage floors - not quite what I wanted but we just didn’t want to spend another $5000 on the epoxy solution I really wanted. Once sealed, I just get them wet, agitate the dirt with a push broom, and rinse.
Of course, we’re having a winter snow squall warning this morning. Checked the weather twice yesterday, and it was supposed to be windy today. Forecasters have the best jobs...

It’s a private bay and no one can door ding it and my wife can get in and out easily. I wanted to park the Tundra in there, but... while it fits, it makes the wall in front of it unusable in that bay as I have to pull in within 3” from the wall.
